The Sandstone Gallery
The Sandstone Gallery is exhibiting some very relaxing and inspirational art by local artists. One of the local artists being exhibited is the award-winning Mada Leach with her acrylic paintings based on trips to the southwest. Also, for the rest of the month we have Lynn Welker showing FREE ROAMING, a group of imagined abstracted narrative landscapes.
Chocolate Walk
Three hours of a delicious, fun, and educational tasting experience of chocolate treasures around Laguna Beach. Learn about the rich history of chocolate, its production, tasting techniques, pairings, and the town’s charming architecture and artistic community. Make sure to wear your sneakers because this is a walking tour. Tours are for 4-15 guests, private custom tours are also available upon request. $49 per person. One Hour / One Painting with Peter Clothier
Sit in front of a single artwork for a full hour and just absorb art. Clothier will give you a brief introduction to the principles of closed-eye breath meditation, encouraging participants to relax and refresh the eyes. This leads to an alternation of closed- and open-eye work, with the facilitator guiding the process with instructions and directions. All of this will help you to see the painting before you the way the artist has created it. This event will be taking place at the Laguna Art Museum, 307 Cliff Drive, on March 28th at 7:00pm and is free with museum admission.
Debut concert: Laguna Flutes Ensemble
Laguna Flutes emerged from The Laguna Concert Band as a chamber group specializing in music arranged for the flute family from piccolo to bass flutes. The original concert band flutes were joined by fifteen professional and dedicated amateurs forming the present ensemble. The director’s baton was passed from Edward Peterson, music director of The Laguna Concert Band, to Cynthia Ellis, well-known flutist and educator. The concert starts at 3pm on March 30th at the Unitarian Universalist Church on 429 Cypress Drive. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Haute Dog in the City
Dogs need to have the latest fashion in wear too. So UNLEASHED PETCO and Laguna Nursery present best in show Contest of Haute Dog Fashion in the Spirit of OC Fashion Week. Resort wear, sports wear, haute couture, ready-to-wear, swim wear—show your dog’s fashionista style! And maybe show your coordinating style as well! A portion of Model entry fees ($10) will be donated to the Greyhouse Rescue. This event will be happening Saturday March 23, starting at 10am, 1370 South Coast Highway.
