When you’re standing at the edge of the ocean in Laguna Beach, you’ll notice that we have a surplus of sand, sun, and water. One of the other things we have is a steady ocean breeze. This breeze is great for two things, keeping you from getting too hot in the sun, and flying kites. If you’ve had enough nap time in you beach chair, and you’re looking for something to do, flying a kite can be just the thing.
If you’re with small children, a very simple and cheep kite bought from a toy store can be just the thing. It’s relatively safe, your children will be occupied for hours, and if it gets lost, at least it was cheep. If you’re an adult, a two or four string kite can be a tom of fun. These kites have multiple strings to give you control of where and how the kite flies. You can learn to do swoops to either side, dives, and even loops. You may think of a kite as a child’s toy, but trust me, buy one of these from a online kite shop, and you’ll have hours of big time adult fun playing with it. One word of caution though. While this can make your next Laguna Beach vacation quite a bit of fun, we don’t recommend drinking and flying… we don’t want you to hit a seagull by mistake.
