Imagine you’re on the beach, the sand in between your toes, your ears filled with the sounds of drums, the sight of fire dancers spinning flames in every direction, and the roar of the tide is creeping up creating a refreshing mist in the ocean breeze. The flames of the bonfire seem to dance around the fire pit, and to top it all off the full moon lights up the night to view the 200 or more people that are all jamming to the rhythm of the drums. Since its start in 2003, when a local laguna beach drummer fell in love with the scene and began the Laguna Burn every full moon night, it became an experience unlike any other.
Take advantage of the warm winter nights here in Laguna Beach, and come down to Aliso Creek State Beach every full moon. The beach is located just a couple miles south of downtown Laguna on the beach side of Pacific Coast Highway. Parking is on either side of the beach and is just $1/hour. Make sure to get there early to find parking, and to enjoy the beach a little before the festivities begin.
