A Typical Day

Flexibility is the only rule

Start of the day

Guests arrive and check in starting at 3 pm on Sunday at Hotel Seven4One.

Your adventure begins at 4 pm with an orientation, followed by a walk on the beach and dinner in the courtyard. Evening presentations will feature Evonne Kane on acupuncture, and Renee Ulnick on hydrocolonic therapy.

The typical end of an evening is 9:30 pm, after evening music and conversation.

Mornings begin at 7 am with the tinkling of a Buddhist bell at your door and the sound of seabirds outside your window.

A half-hour of body movement follows at 7:30 am followed by exercises for those interested in more strenuous workouts. We suggest two to four hours of exercise a day-running on the beach, aerobics, muscle toning or yoga-depending on each individual’s goals and abilities.

At 8:30 am, a delicious breakfast of organic seasonal and flavorful fruits and vegetables will be served, such as pineapple boats filled with watermelon, mango and papaya-a nutritionally perfect combination to help heal and cleanse your body.

Around 9:30 am, our experts will offer their educational presentations on health and wellness to rejuvenate and revitalize your lifestyle in way that’s both entertaining and enlightening.

The rest of the morning will be filled with more health and nature adventures, hiking within the beautiful Laguna Beach coves, foothills and bluffs. Watch jumping dolphins and migrating whales in the glimmering ocean against the silhouette of Catalina Island.

Lunchtime

The staff will deliver a healthy picnic lunch to each group to delight all senses. Opportunities for free time, snacks, fresh juices and wheat grass occur throughout the days.

Afternoon

Exercise continues after lunch, with an hour’s break at 2 pm preceding another delicious snack. Yoga, stretch classes, and circuit training begins at 3:15 pm From 4:30 to 5:30 pm the staff will present sunset sessions on wellness and nutrition to enlighten you on the critical elements to lead a rejuvenated and revitalized life.

Evening

A nonalcoholic cocktail hours begins at 5 pm, with fresh juices and hand rolls specifically designed for the taste and nutrition you require, followed by dinner at 6 pm.

Sunday through Thursday, evening presentations will begin at 7 pm on topics such as

  • posture and self-image
  • acupuncture and Chinese herbs
  • goal setting
  • meditation as mind detox

Conversation and music follows until bedtime.

Checkout is Friday morning. But we hope you’ll stay for our garden and gallery walks with a special lunch at the Beach House Inn.
