Guide for Summer Fun in OC

If you’re on vacation in Laguna Beach this summer, the Orange County Fair is a must see for people of all ages. There are livestock show and competitions celebrating the rural life of historic Orange County. There are of course arts and crafts, performances, hypnotists, magicians, carnival rides, music, demolition derby’s and most importantly this year…the OC FOOD FAIR!

And if you’re a visiting marathon runner or want a fun reason to take the kids for a walk, check out the OC Fair 5K on Sunday, August 7, 2011.

WHEN: July 15 - August 14, 2011 on Wednesday to Sundays (closed Monday and Tuesdays).
Wed - Fri: Noon to Midnight
Sat & Sun: 10am to Midnight

WHERE: OC Fairgrounds @ 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA

COST: General $11, Children (6-12) $6, Seniors (60+) $8, 5 &Under Free. Season Passes.

PARKING: $7 General, $12 Preferred

TRANSPORTATION: Driving Directions and OCFair Express ($3 round-trip bus)

Kid’s Free Thursdays - free admission all day for 12 & under

LET’S EAT Fridays - $2 Tastings of Fair Food (noon - 4)

Senior (60+) Days - $2 off Friday entry + free ferris wheel & merry-go-round rides all day

SAT & SUN Early Bird - $2 admission free for first hour (10a-11a)
