Warm up your winter with the rousing words and music of Johnny Cash. Ring of Fire brings to life more than 30 of his best songs including “I Walk the Line,” “In the Sweet By and By,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and of course, “Ring of Fire.” This musical features ten extraordinary talented singer-actor-musicians who offer a riveting glimpse into Cash’s world where faith, love and compassion are the touchstones in everyday life.
There’s a little Johnny Cash in everyone, which is one reason why his music has transcended decades and America has lifted him up to the iconic status that he has become. Ring of Fire features a talented company of 10 performers who will guide you on a journey through Cash’s storied life and celebrated music, from the cotton fields of Arkansas to the Grand Ole Opry. Nearly eleven years after his passing, Johnny Cash remains one of the most popular entertainers of all time.
His success is incomparable—11 Grammy Awards (including the 1999 Lifetime Achievement Grammy), inductions into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock Music Hall of Fame, and a Kennedy Center Honor. He has placed 48 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop charts and over 130 hits on the Billboard Country singles chart – more than anyone in history. His autobiography Man in Black has sold approximately 1.5 million copies, and the official Johnny Cash website receives more than 9 million hits per day.
Steve Steiner will be directing the ten extraordinarily talented singer-actor-musicians. Steve Steiner also serves as Artistic Director of Boebe Productions, Ocean Professional Theatre Company and Jersey Shore Entertainment. He has been an Actor, Director and Musical Director for 3 Broadway, 3 Off-Broadway, 3 National Tours and hundreds of Regional Productions.
