Now in its eighth year, Palette to Palate has quickly become one of Orange County’s most anticipated art and dining experiences, named by Riviera magazine among its Top Ten must-attend events. This year Palette to Palate will feature the highly acclaimed wines of Copain Wines and delicious cuisine by Executive Chef Craig Strong of Studio at Montage Laguna Beach. Chef Strong will once again prepare an incredible four-course dinner on site at the museum with his team of chefs, creating a top-tier epicurean experience. The superb wine and cuisine will be complemented by the work of ten artists, presented at the ten dining tables and throughout the Steele Gallery, the museum’s largest exhibition space. Each artist is new to the event, and will join guests for dinner at the table he or she created. All of the artists’ works will be available for purchase. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to bid on high-end packages from Roberto Cavalli, Casas de Santa Fe, and the Santa Fe Opera, among others, in a spirited live auction.

In celebration of the silver anniversary of Laguna Beach High’s famed Shap Show, a special alumni edition is being presented by SchoolPower Endowment. Showcasing the talents of former LBHS performers accompanied by the school’s most charismatic math teacher and skilled acoustic guitarist, Mr. Gary Shapiro, all proceeds from the show will benefit the LBUSD orchestral strings program. Dubbed “No Suits Allowed” to reflect the show and its namesake’s casual and welcoming style, the Shap Show has been a much-anticipated annual event since 1989 when Shapiro first hosted it as a fund raiser for the senior class. The Alumni Shap Show’s 20-plus musical acts will be an exciting display of talent spanning the years of this impressive legacy.
The show starts at 7:30pm on May 11th at the Laguna Beach High School, 625 Park Avenue. Tickets are $25 for open seating and $50 for reserved section seating. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Laguna Beach Education Foundation’s website at lbschoolpower.org or call 949-494-6811.
