Don’t Miss Whale Watching Season in Orange County

Don’t Miss Whale Watching Season in Orange County

So keep your eyes peeled – Search for Whales from the patio of your Laguna Beach vacation rental or book a whale watching tour.

At the end of each summer, whales begin their trek from the food rich Arctic waters of Alaska to their breeding grounds in Baja California, and the Retreat in Laguna is fortuitously placed right on the Pacific Ocean with front row seats.  Don’t miss the best chance of year to see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

If you’re staying in one of our Laguna Beach vacation rentals, then don’t forget your binoculars, because with ocean views from every villa, you have a chance to spot dolphins and whales right from the relaxing comfort of your own balcony or patio.  And if you’re in the mood for an adventure, our staff is happy to assist you with booking all-day or 2 hr Whale Watching Tours.

Dana Sportfishing & Whale Watching is offering a special treat this month too – Art Lessons in the Wild with Wyland! Each weekend in January, the famous Laguna Beach marine wildlife artist, Wyland, will be conducting an art lesson (via video feed) before you take your whale watching tour.  Children can enter their art for for an end-of-season contest which will be judged by the artist himself – special prizes will be handed out during the Festival of Whales in March.

Be a part of this breathtaking California tradition, today!
