The Conversation With… series brings artists and other creative minds to Laguna Art Museum to discuss their practice in a casual conversation with guests.
Lisa Pearson is the guest speaker for Thursday, April 4th. She is the founder of Siglio, an independent publishing house in Los Angeles. Siglio is dedicated to publishing uncommon books and editions that live at the intersection of art and literature: inimitable, visionary works by renowned as well as little known artists and writers that defy categories and thoroughly engage a reader’s intellect and imagination. Los Angeles artist John Mason has been a fixture in the Southern California art scene since 1949. Author and art critic Jeff Kelley has written extensively for Artforum, Art in America, and the Los Angeles Times, and is currently working on a book of Allan Kaprow’s 1988 retrospective Precedings at the Center for Research in Contemporary Art. April 7th at 1:00pm at the Laguna Art Museum.
